MV6 Pinot Noir 2018
This top-quality Pinot Noir, from the Mornington Peninsula, is a beautiful soft scarlet rouge. Brambles and undergrowth, dried rose petals and woody spices typical of this clone are all present. The palate shows spiced baked quinces with a palate texture that is fresh and crunchy - almost like red apple skins. At 5 years of age, the tannins are now developed an softening. This is a lovely example of a modern quality Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula that has had the chance to develop and integrate with some bottle age.

Wine Profile
Tasting notes
The 2018 vintage was warmer than the 2017 vintage which gives aromas of darker fruit such as blueberry or blackberry. The palate has a touch of raspberry, morello cherry & a whisper of oak. Fine supple, savoury tannins & great length. A wine of power, charm & grace.
Production notes and Chemistry
A 5 day pre-fermentation cold soak preceded a natural ferment with no yeast being added. The wines were pressed in our gentle air bag press and then aged in French oak barrels from a range of tonnelleries.
Food Pairing
This great Pinot Noir would pair well with slow braised rabbit in Pinot with currants and mustard seed.
