Estate Pinot Noir 2017
Pretty red fruits, predominately red cherry with a little cranberry. The palate has beautiful balance & length. It begins with bright red cherry, moves to cranberry and a hint of raspberry on the finish.
Food Match: boned, butterflied and bbqd quail.
This wine is a blend of six different clones of Pinot Noir planted across our vineyard and harvested mid to late March 2014. The clones were blended at harvested and fermented using wild yeast. The wines were pressed in our gentle air bag press (see winemakers diary under the Cellar Door web page) and then aged in French oak barrels from a range of tonnelleries.
